Found in eastern Madagascar in humid foress at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a thick, slightly flattened stem carrying to 10, loriform, conduplicate basally, flattened above, emarginate apically leaves that blooms on an axillary, peduncle provided with 2 short sheaths, to 16" [40 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
