Common Name Dodson's Bensteinia [American Botanist in Ecuador current]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Tungurahua province of Ecuador at elevations around 1400 meters as a natural hybrid between Benzingia sanguinolenta and Ackermania palaorae as a small sized, cool, pendent growing terrestrial with very short stems enveloped by leaf sheaths carrying grey-green, oblong-elliptic, narrowing basally, acute apically leaves that blooms on an axillary, pendent, provided with an ovate, adpressed bract, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

CAUTION!!! This name is not valid and needs a new name that does not tie it to the invalidly published X Ackersteinia dodsonii,
