Found in New Guinea in lower montane primary forests at elevations of 200 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with .32" to 4" [.8 to 10 cm] between each, ovoid to ellipsoid, hardly flattened pseduobulbs carrying a single, ovate to elliptic, obtuse to acute, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on a basal, usuallu single, rarely a few together, .6 to 1.4" [1.5 to 3.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with elliptic, tip acute to subacute, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
