Found in Sabah Borneo in high montane forests among mosses at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .12 to .16" [.3 to .4 cm] between each ovoid, somewhat flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, thin, ovate to elliptic, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a .72" [1.8 cm] long overall, peduncle .4 to .52" [1 to 1.3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with triangular, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-fragrant flowers with yellow sepals with orange tips, yellowish petals with orange veins a brick red lip and a yelloow column.
