Common Name Vakon's Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .2" long [5 mm] long

Found in Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a thick rhizome with .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, shortly contracted basally into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on an erect, short, peduncle 1.2 to 1.4" [3 to 3.5 cm] long, rachis to 3.2" [8 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with thin, lanceolate-acute, nearly twice as long as the pedicel floral bracts.
