Common Name The Limestone Loving Cephalanthera - In China Shuo Ju Tou Rui Lan

Flower Size

Found in northwestern Yunnan province of China in broad-Leaved forests in leaf litter at elevations around 2600 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rhizome enveloped by tubular sheaths and giving rise to a slender stem enveloped by basal, tubular, membraneous sheaths, without green leaves taht blooms in the later spring on an erect, rachis 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long, laxly 3 to 7 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acuminate, basal ones longer than the ovary, shorter above floral bracts and carrying weakly spreading to not opening at all flowers.
