Common Name The Thick Petaled Ceratostylis

Found in western Sumatra in hill and montane forests on tree trunks and branches on steep slopes at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close, shiney pale green stems carrying a single, linear, obliquely acute, fleshy, shiny green above leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 1 to 2, terminal, thin, terete, .28" to .92" [1.9 to 2.3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

J J Smith put C graminea as close to this species but this one has a much shorter rhizome, narrower leaves, longer peduncles, a more elongated lip and a differntly shaped anther.
