Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to thin, filiform, terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, glabrous, terete, subulate-filiform, acute leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an apical, fasciculate, few flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are snow white.
