Found in New Guinea at elevations around 450 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to thin, glabrous, subfiliform, terete pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, shortly erect, glabrous, coriaceous, flat, narrowly ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later fall on an apical, fasciculate, several flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are whitish with a golden yellow apex to the lip.
