Endemic to western Java in montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 2400 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with somewhat compressed, close set stems enveloped basally by a few sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly lanceolate, fleshy leaf that blooms in the fall on a sessile, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
