Found in Yunnan province of China, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam at elevations around 1560 to 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with stubby rhizomes giving rise to stems carrying a single, apical, linear leaf that blooms in the fall with a short single flowered inflorescence
