Found in New Guinea on tree in montane forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, graceful, terete, glabrous stems carrying a single, apical, erect-patent, linear-ligulate, acute, narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, capitate, several flowered inflorescence
