Found in west Sumatra without elevational data as a mini-miniature to miniature sized epiphyte with an erect, freely branching, short rhizome giving rise to close set, numerous, 3 noded, ellip[tic in cross-section, shiny green pseudobulbs carrying a single, erct, apical, narrowly lanceolate, shortly acuminate, fleshy, grooved and shiny green above, paler and opaque beneath, thin, distinct petiolate base leaf that blooms on sparsely hairy, .28 to .36" [7 yo 9 mm] long, subtended by numerous, tubular, acute, scales, single flowered inflorescence carrying flower that are sparsely hairy on the backs of the sepals and the petals are reddish.

J J Smith puts this species close to C lancifolia but it is considerably larger.
