Common Name D'Allesandro's Chaubardiella [Ecuadorian Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size 1" [2 cm]

Found in Ecuador and Peru, wet, montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1800 meters as a warm to cool growing epiphytic species with several axillary, lateral to pendant at ground level, 1.2" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence held at the base of the imbricating, distichous, oblong-obovate, shortly acuminate leaves that are narrowing below into the subpetiolate base that blooms in the spring on a pendent single flowered inflorescence carrying a foul scented flower.
