Found in Yunnan province of China in forests on wet rocks at elevations of 700 to 800 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm growing terrestrial with lanceolate, sometimes withered at flowering, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect to arching, pubescent, to 8" [20 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate floral bracts.
