Found in eastern Java in forests on ridges where enough light filters through at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, dark, densely rough-hairy stem carrying 2 to 3, basal, ovate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves with 2 more, small, leafy bracts on the stem higher up that blooms in the earlier winter on an erect, terminal, 4" [10 cm] long, shorter white pubescent, 3 to 12 flowered inflorescence with large, long acuminate floral bracts that are longer than the ovary.
