Common Name The Wide Chelonistele

Flower Size 1.85" [4.6 cm]

Found in Borneo in hill, lower montane, heath and elfin forests at elevations of 800 to 2300 meters as a medium to just large sized warm to cold growing epiphyte with swollen, ovoid, smooth, longitudinally grooved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong to lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acute, acuminate, subcoriaceous to coriaceous, plicate, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms at any time of the year on a 26" [65 cm] long, 4 to 11 flowered inflorescence
