Found on the borders of Brunei and Sarawak, Borneo in lower montane mossy ridge forests at elevations of 1500 to 1600 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with basally swollen, longitudinally sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, plicate, obovate-oblong to obovate-lanceolate, acuminate, stiff, 3 to 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a synanthous, flexuous, to 11" [22.5 cm] long, pendulous, to 12 flowered, racemose inflorescence
