Found in Tasmania in montane mossy forests as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial species in in montane tall forests in moist areas at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters with a 2, basal, ovate to elliptical leaves that blooms in the spring through summer on an erect, .8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
