Found in New South Wales Australia in montane and subalpine, moist forests with grass, fern and bush understory at elevations of 900 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with 2 elliptic, obtuse. gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, 3.2" [7.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
