Common Name The Yunnan Chiloschista [a state of China in the south abutting Vietnam] - In China Yi Xing Lan

Found in Sichuan and southern Yunnan provinces of China on tree trunks in sparse woods or forests margins at elevations around 700 to 2000 meters as a miniature to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with elongate, slightly flattened greyish green colored roots with a very short to almost absent stem and leaves that are not present at flowering if at all and blooms in the spring on 2 to 3, pendulous, to 10.4" [26 cm] long, pubescent, laxly many flowered inflorescence with small, membraneous floral bracts
