Found in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania in open forests and coastal scrub at elevations of 50 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial that is a natural hybrid between C gunnii and c trapeziformis and blooms in the later winter through spring on an erect, pinkish, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
