Found in New South Wales Australia in tall forests and on rainforest margins in grass in well drained brown loam at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with large leaves that blooms in the winter and earlier spring on an erect, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
