Found around Merida Venezuela without locality as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem that is completely enveloped by imbricating, strongly conduplicate, ancipitous sheaths the uppermost leaf-bearing carrying 5 to 7, narrowly oblanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the later summer on a basal, suberect, peduncle to 2.4" [6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with paired, outer one infundibular, ovate acute, the inner one elliptic-lanceolate floral bracts.
