Found in Patagonia Argentina and Chile at elevations of 50 to 2100 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a fan of linear-lanceolate, acute, conduplicate leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence
