Found in southern Chile and southern Argentina in forest openings and semidry grasslands as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with basal, narrowly lanceolate, clear green leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, 10" [25 cm] long, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence
