Inflorescence Photos by © Milan Vagner

TYPE Drawing TYPE Drawing by Seidenfaden

Part shade Hot

Common Name The Missing Spur

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Thailand at elevations around 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with radiating, thinner than others in the genus, roots giving rise to no leaves but blooms on an erect then arching, 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long, pubescent, few flowered inflorescence carrying creamy white flowers with faint red spots towards the base of the segments.

CAUTION Vagner's photos are correct in most respects [I am at odds with the 2 bumps on the rim of the lip which Seidenfaden's drawing does not show and the spur is not exactly as drawn] to Seidenfadens TYPE Drawing that is absolutely correct.
