Found in Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests at elevations of 1050 to 1300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a loose fan of wider than most in the genus and oblong obovate, apiculate, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, elongate petiolate base leaves that blooms on an axillary, 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
