Found in Panama at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovate-elliptic, compressed pseudobulbs enveloped by leafless and uppermost leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, erect, oblanceolate-elliptic, acute to apiculate leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a basal, 1" [2.5 cm] long, successively 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with triangular, conduplicate, carinate, acute floral bracts.
