Common Name The Large Flowered Cleistes

Flower Size 5.6" [14 cm]

Found in southern and southeastern Brazil as a large to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a relatively robust stem carrying ovate-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, amplexicaul below into the base leaves that blooms in the fall on 1 to 3, terminal or axillary, 1.6 to 2" [3.5 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

After the plant has bloomed the leaves and stem dry up and take a few month rest before arising anew in the summer
