Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil near rivers and streams at elevations around 1200 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with a long, straight, glabrous, green stem carrying soft, linear-lanceolate, acute, pale green, 3 to 5 leaves that blooms in the summer on a sessile, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
