Common Name Batista's Cleistes [Dr Joao Batista Collector of type Brazilian current]

Found in Districto Federal state of Brazil in wet grasslands and palm swamps at elevations of 1000 to 1200 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a straight to sometimes sinuous, glaucous, yellowish green below, green above stem carrying 6, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate,erect to erect patent, concave to conduplicate, acute, apical smaller than the lower ones leaves that blooms in the summer on a 1 to 2 flowered, short inflorescence.
