Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil in high mountain fields at elevations around 1200 to 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, thin, light purple, few leaved stem carrying 4, small, erect-patent, oval-round, somewhat fleshy, obtuse, cordate and amplexicaul below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer on terminal or axillary, successively single flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
