Common Name The Lenheiro Cleistes

Flower Size 4" [10 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais Brazil at elevations around 1050 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, robust, somewhat sinuous, glaucous green stem carrying 3 to 5, erect, glaucous green, ovate, acute, amplexicaul below into the base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on axillary, single flowered inflorescence carrying large, wine red, erect flowers.
