Found in southeastern and southern Yunnan China on tree trunks along forest margins at elevations of 700 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with an erect, unbranched stem carrying 5 to 6, distichous, subbasal, flat, linear or narrowly oblong, fleshy, acute, basal half condulicate base leaves that blooms in the summer and earlier fall on a from near the base of the stem pendulous, longer than the leaves, 4 to 6" [10 to 15 cm] long, branched or not, laxly many flowered inflorescence with ovate-triangular, acute floral bracts.
