Found in central and eastern Brazil in small roadside colonies at elevations of 800 to 1200 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, robust, gloucous green stem carrying numerous, glacous, metal-like, concave above, thinly multinerved, erect, elongate-lanceolate, acuminate, dilated and semi-amplexicaul below into the base leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on 1 to 3, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence
