Found in Java in shade on tree trunks at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a pendulous stem becoming erect towards the apex and carrying 6 to 8, stiff, fleshy, strap-shaped, obliquely bilobed apically with obtuse lobes leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, to 8" [20 cm] long, stiff, downwards pointing, paniculate, many branched towards the middle of the panicle, many flowered inflorescence
