Common Name Moritz's Cleistes [German Orchid Collector in Venezuela 1800's]

Flower Size

Found in Venezuela, Guyana and Ecuador in damp grassy soils of tepui at elevations around 1800 to 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, green, glabrous, pubescent below ground level stem carrying to 6, soft, fleshy, linear, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
