Found in southern Yunnan province of China in broadleaved evergreen forests on tree trunks at elevations around 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with pendulous, slender, branched or not stems carrying many semi-terete, slender, channeled adaxially, fleshy, acuminate leaves that blooms in the late spring on a lateral, usually unbranched, slender, 4" [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with membraneous, ovate, obtuse floral bracts and carrying fleshy wide open flowers
