Found in southeastern Brazil as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an elongate, somewhat fusiform, smooth, obtuse tuber giving rise to a short, thin, sparsely leafy stem carrying erect-patent, elliptic, acute, semi-amplexicaul basally leaves that blooms on axillary, successively single, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying small, fragrant flowers.
