Found in Bahia, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo and Parana states of Brazil at elevations of 800 to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a short, thin, erect stem carrying 5 to 14, erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, subamplexicaul below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer and earlier fall on terminal or axillary, single flowered inflorescence carrying small flowers.
