Common Name or Meaning The Many Lashed Cranichis [refers to the ciliate margins of the petals]

Flower Size

Found in Cauca department of Colombia at elevations around 1600 to 1900 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, basal, ovate, acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, peduncle 4 to 7.6" [10 to 19 cm] long, glandular towards the apex, provided with 3 to 4 sheathing bracts, rachis .08 to 2.4 " [2 to 6 cm] long, densely glandulous-puberulous towards the apex, densely few to many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, glabrous flowers.
