Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia on roadsides through pre montane forests at elevations of 1430 to 1550 meters as a small sized, cool growing terretrial with 3, basal, elliptic-suborbicular, base subcordate, obtuse to subobtuse at apex, narrowing below into the petiolate base leavews that blooms in the late fsall and early winter on an erect, terminal, delicate, peduncle to [16 cm] long, provided with 4 distant sheathing bracts, rachis 1.6" [4 cm] long, conical, subdensely maany flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, , half as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers.

"C. queremalensis appears to be related to its Colombian-Ecuadorian congener C. parvula, originally described from the Colombian department of Meta. C. queremalensis is characterized by petals attenuate toward base and apex with only outer margin shortly and densely ciliate, lip elliptic-suborbicular, very thin, and almost flat with recurved apex. Petals of C. parvula are oblong-ligulate, rounded at apex, glabrous on margins, lip is similar in shape to C. queremalensis, but cochleate in the center, with numerous knob-like projections, and straight apex."
