Common Name The Leek-Green Leaved Cyclopogon

Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cocole province of Panama and Cundinamarca department of Colombia at elevations of 400 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 1 to 4, basal, in a rosette, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the cuneate, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, terminal, peduncle 1.2 to 6.4" [3 to 16 cm] long, glandular in the apical portion, provided with 4 to 7, sheathing bracts, rachis 1.6 to 4.8" [4 to 12 cm] long, 8 to 25 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small flowers.

"Similar to Cyclopogon olivaceus in the lip structure ie the lateral veins of the lip are terminated with more or less prominent callii in the form of ridges or keels and the istmus margins are not thickened. The margins of the epichile of the lip of C prasophyllum are entire and the petals veins are not thickened while C olivaceous has an epichile that is not entire and the petals veins are thickened."
