Common Name or Meaning The Three Lined Cyclopogon [refers to the 3 white lines on the leaf]

Found in Rio Grande do Sul state of Brazil in shady primeval forests at elevations around 300 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 4 to 5, erect-patent, clear green with 3 white lines, oval to elliptic, obliquely acute to acuminate, cuneiform to rounded below into the pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect to slightly sinuous, peduncle 9.2 to 11.2" [17 to 22 cm] long overall, glabrous below, glandulous-puberullous above, provided with 4 to 5, long amplexicaul bracts, rachis to 2.4" [6 cm] long, 15 to 30 flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying secund to subsecund flowers.
