Common Name or Meaning The Variegated Cyclopogon [refers to the leaves]
Flower Size .24" [6 mm]
Found in Districto Federal of Brazil at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with a basal rosette of 3 to 4, ovate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, peduncle 4.8 to 8" [12 to 20 cm] long, provided with 5 to 6, distant, adpressed, lanceolate-linear, long acuminate, pink sheathing bracts, rachis 3.2" [8 cm] long, laxly, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, pink, lanceolate, long acuminate, longer to as long as the ovary floral bracts.
