Common Name Large-Leafed Dendrochilum

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found only in the Philippines in forests on trees at elevations above 300 to 2200 meters as a medium sized, hot to cold growing epiphyte with narrowly conical, approximate, smooth, pale green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate leaf with a petiole blooming in the spring, summer and fall on a graceful arching, 6" to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, densly many flowered inflorescence arising on a new growth with fragrant flowers arranged in two ranks.

Common Name The Large Flowered Dendrochilum

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

This medium sized orchid is endemic to the Philippines at elevations above 1200 meters as a cool growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, plicate leaf that blooms on a terminal, erect then arching, 2' [60 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence occuring in the spring and summer.
