Common Name The Pink-White Pteroglossa

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Brazil, at the forest border, in shady places around 900 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing, deciduous leafed terrestrial with 3 to 6, in a basal rosette, patent to erect-patent, elliptical, acute to rounded and apiculate, deeply canaliculate, glabrous dark green leaves with white spotted leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, terete, glabrous, 6" to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, few to many flowered inflorescence almost completely enveloped by several loose, inflated, acuminate bracts and floral bracts beneath each flower.

This attractice species can be separated from others by the larde showy white flowers often with pink suffusiona with a long, cylindrical, oendent spur and a long labellum with entire margins." Szlachetko & Kolanowska 2019
