Common Name The Epipactis-Like Cephalanthera

Found in Greece, eastern Aegean Islands and Turkey in open broad-leaved woodlands and pine forests up to 1200 meters in elevation as a small to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with erect, robust, grooved towards the tip stem carrying 2 to 4, short, elliptical to ovate-lanceolate, keeled, acute, rather leathery, near clasping basally leaves grading smaller into the floral bracts bracts that are still longer than the ovary and blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 2 to 14" [5 to 35 cm] long, 5 to 50 flowered inflorescence
