Common Name Macrae's Flickingeria [English Plant Collector 1800's]

Flower Size 3/4" .8" [1.7 to 2 cm]

Found in India, the eastern Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam in forests as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with semi-erect and pendulous branches giving rise to fusiform, rather flat, green, shining pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-oblong to lanceolate, obtuse, many nerved, sessile dark green leaf that blooms in the summer and earlier fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, acute to acuminate floral bracts.
